Terms of Service

PleadEasy is software for advocates. It records client intakes with consent, extracts the facts, drafts court documents from them, and helps you manage cases, clients, hearings and invoices.

PleadEasy is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. Using PleadEasy does not create a lawyer and client relationship between us and you or your clients.

PleadEasy is for advocates enrolled with a State Bar Council in India, and for the staff and juniors they add to their chamber. You must be at least 18. You are responsible for the people you add to your chamber and what they do in it.

Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us promptly if you think someone else has used your account. The details you give us must be accurate and kept up to date.

PleadEasy uses AI, and AI output can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Every draft is a starting point for your own professional work. You must read, correct and approve each document before you file, send or rely on it; PleadEasy does not let a draft be printed, exported, shared or signed until you approve it.

You remain solely responsible for the documents you file and the advice you give, including checking the law, facts, limitation, court fees and local rules.

You decide what client data to enter and you are responsible for having a lawful basis for it under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, including your client’s consent before you record a conversation. You must keep client information confidential as your professional duties require. We handle that data as described in the Privacy Policy, only to provide the service to you.

• New chambers start with a free trial. Its length and the number of cases included are shown on the pricing page and in the app when you sign up. When it ends, you can keep viewing your existing cases and documents, and you need a paid plan to create or draft new ones.
• Paid plans run for 30 days from payment. Prices are shown on the Billing page before you pay, and GST is added where applicable. Payments are processed by Razorpay.
• Plans do not renew automatically. We remind you before a plan expires; if you do not renew, the chamber moves back to the free plan and your data stays in place.
• Pay-as-you-go document credits do not expire.
• Refunds: if you are charged twice or charged by mistake, we refund the extra amount in full. You can ask for a full refund of your first payment for a plan within 7 days of paying. Unused pay-as-you-go credits can be refunded within 7 days of purchase. Otherwise, a plan period that has started is not refunded, but you keep access until it ends. To ask for a refund, write to support@pleadeasy.in with your payment reference. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within 5 to 7 working days.
• We may change prices; a change applies from your next purchase, never to a period already paid for.

You must not:

• use PleadEasy for anything unlawful, or to record anyone without their consent;
• upload content you have no right to use, or anything malicious;
• try to access another chamber’s data, or to bypass limits or security;
• resell PleadEasy, or copy or reverse engineer it except as the law allows.

You own the content you put into PleadEasy and the documents you create with it. You give us permission to store and process it only as needed to provide PleadEasy to you, including learning your drafting format within your own chamber. We do not use it to draft for other chambers.

You can stop using PleadEasy at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may put an account on hold, suspend or close it if these terms are broken, if payment is not made, or to protect other users or the service. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix it.

We work to keep PleadEasy available and your data safe, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Keep your own copies of documents you file; you can export or print any approved document.

PleadEasy is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss arising from a document you approved, filed or relied on. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

If we make a material change, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use PleadEasy after that means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Chennai have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
